Barger Watch is excited to offer bespoke custom watch designs to create a special, one-of-a-kind watch or series of watches for you, your family, or your business.
Each bespoke watch is centered around an individually created custom dial, combined with carefully selected watch components and hand-finished details. This offering is for a complete custom watch set that includes a custom dial, standard watch hands, standard watch case, and standard strap. Your watch can be personalized with a one-of-a-kind dial that you design yourself, or you can provide the concept and I will finish the details.
The bespoke aspect of each watch is centered around the individually created dial and customization of the finished timepiece, using carefully selected components from my available collection.
Handcrafted in Georgetown, Texas
All of our watches are handcrafted in Georgetown, Texas, and feature a Swiss-made or Japanese-made movement selected from the available movement options.
Each dial is individually created in the Barger Watch workshop and can include engraving, machining, and other hand-finished details. Our dials require many hours of work to create and finish to completion. Depending on the complexity of the project, a watch can require well in excess of 60 hours of hands-on design, machining, engraving, finishing, assembly, and other skilled labor.
Because each watch is handcrafted, small variations in finish, color, and detail are normal and are part of what makes every watch truly a one-of-a-kind, heirloom-quality timepiece.
Movement Options
There are multiple movement options available, including Swiss- and Japanese-made automatic movements and a Swiss-made quartz movement.
The automatic versions appeal to those who appreciate traditional mechanical watches, while the quartz version offers exceptional accuracy and low maintenance while still featuring the same handcrafted dial and build quality.
- Swiss Made Quartz — Standard
- Japanese Automatic – Seiko — +$175
- Swiss Made Automatic — +$250
Each custom watch dial is individually designed, engraved, and hand finished. Every watch is delivered as a complete set, including the watch case and either a bracelet or strap. The available options are listed below and can be selected using the drop-down menus.
Dial Materials
The dial can be made of brass, nickel, or aluminum at the standard price.
Sterling silver is available for an additional $60.
Custom Case Back Inscription
A custom inscription on the case back or insert (if display back) is available for an additional $50.
Water Resistance
Watches with a screw-down crown can be pressure tested to 100m and are suitable for swimming and limited diving applications.
Watches without a screw-down crown are pressure tested to 30m and are intended for incidental contact with water, such as rain or light splashing. They are not recommended for swimming or intentional submersion.
An additional option for $200 provides additional pressure testing, seal upgrades, and water resistance of up to 200m for select cases that feature solid case backs and screw-down crowns.
Production & Lead Time
Our bespoke watches are one-of-a-kind creations, with production beginning after the order has been placed and the price of the watch has been fully funded.
Production typically requires approximately 15 to 25 days after final design approval. This production timeframe does not include the time required for initial consultation, design, artwork development, customer approval, or sourcing specialized materials.
Some projects may require additional production steps or specialized materials that may take longer. I will discuss any significant additional requirements or expected delays with you before proceeding.
Please keep in mind that every watch incorporates handcrafted dials, custom components, and hand finishing. Depending on the complexity of the project, completing a watch can require well in excess of 60 hours of labor.
Design & Artwork
This bespoke watch service includes several hours of design and artwork development to bring your concept to life. Your overall idea or concept should be clearly established before production and artwork creation begins.
I’m happy to refine customer concepts and complete the design and artwork necessary to engrave a watch dial, customize a case back, or otherwise execute the requested customization. The included design service is intended to develop and prepare your established concept for production, rather than to provide unlimited concept development, revisions, or an extended back-and-forth custom design process over several days. This service is not intended to cover extensive or highly intricate design work beyond the time reasonably included with the bespoke watch service.
If a project requires substantial additional design time beyond the included service, additional design fees may apply. I will always communicate this with you before proceeding with significant additional work.
Design & Production Consultation
Before placing an order for a bespoke watch, please contact me to discuss your design preferences and project requirements. This consultation allows me to better understand your vision, determine the time required for design, artwork, and production, and make sure the project is suitable for the available components and manufacturing processes.
I’ll also be able to provide my current availability and estimated lead time so we can make sure the overall production schedule works for you before moving forward.
Your concept does not need to be a finished piece of artwork, but the overall idea of what you want to create should be established before production and artwork development begins.
