At Barger Watch, I specialize in multi-depth relief engraving, combining sculptural bas-relief, champlevé-style metalwork, and intricate geometric patterns to create one-of-a-kind custom watch dials.
Materials & Craftsmanship
Base Metals: Standard dials are fabricated and hand-finished in brass or sterling silver. Other alloys are possible upon review.
 
Fabrication: Every piece is engraved, patinated, and finished individually in my workshop in Georgetown, Texas.
Technical Specifications & Hand Clearance
 
Dial Thickness: Finished dials measure between 0.60 mm and 0.75 mm. Due to this relief depth, your movement requires a high cannon pinion (such as ETA with H4, H5, or H6 hand-fitting heights) or hands with extended posts to clear the dial face. Thinner designs may be possible depending on artwork geometry and must be evaluated prior to ordering.
Finishing & Luminous Compound
 
Natural Texture: Hand-engraved and patinated metals exhibit subtle natural variations in hue, contrast, and grain across every individual piece.
Lume Wells: Custom luminous fills using high grade Japanese lume is available for an additional fee.
